Level crossing gates, L&Y design

Level crossing gates, L&Y design

A 3D printed model of a pair of wooden level crossing gates.

The gates are a Lancashire and Yorkshire (L&Y) railway design from Waterloo on the Liverpool-Southport line and date to around 1906.

There is very fine decorative ironwork on the top of the gate and hinges on each side. At full size, each gate measures 3.7m in length, and 7.4m for the pair.

You will need two pairs of gates when modelling a full size level crossing, with one pair on each side.

Each gate comes as a kit of three parts, that will need gluing together to give the gate its full 3D profile. Assembly instructions can be found here.

O, OO, TT and N gauge models available.

Please note that our models are supplied unpainted, and the colour of the model may differ from the photographed examples.

Information for painting, gluing and working with our models can be found here.
