Barton model bus kit of Willowbrook rebodied leyland tiger PS1/1 - PREORDER shipping from 16/1/25
A scale model bus kit of a Barton Transport Leyland Tiger PS1/1 with Willowbrook double deck bodywork.
This is currently available for preorder and we will start shipping orders out from the 16th of January. Any other items ordered at the same time will be held until then.
This comes as a full unpainted kit, with brass rod, transfers and precut windows. The windows are fitted from the outside.
Several of these buses were produced, some marked with registration plates starting "WAL" and others with "VVO". As far as we can tell the only difference was that those with "VVO" has an extra window bar on the first passenger window on the lower deck drivers side.
We have included transfers and window bar stickers to enable both to be modelled.
We have two versions available:
-
Open door - Modelled with the rear doors opened. Can be used to model the bus stationary, or there are photos showing the bus moving with the doors open.
-
Closed door - Modelled with the rear doors closed, although not completely flat. The doors are modelled with a slight "crinkle" in them, as not one photo we found showed the doors completely flat when shut.
Assembly and painting instructions for the model can be found here.
Each unpainted model consists of a resin 3D printed body lower shell with attached upper seats, upper shell, a separate front seat piece (to allow access to the driver's cab, the lower deck seats, and the four wheels. The steering wheel is part of the interior. For the OO (1:76) and 1:50 kits, the mirrors are included as resin parts that will need gluing in place. The mirrors are attached to the N (1:148) models.
The kit is set up for wheels on axles. We have included 1mm brass rod for the axles.
1:50, OO (1:76) and N (1:148) models are available.
This is currently available for preorder and we will start shipping orders out from the 16th of January. Any other items ordered at the same time will be held until then.
This model has been developed with the help of Phil Lacey, Phil Stevens and Matthew Smith.
Please note that our models are supplied unpainted, and the colour of the model may differ from the photographed examples.
